I love the going out and playing outside under the sun when I was a child. I just found out earlier this year that damage will not show until we are old. I am now thinking. Can Red light therapy reverse the damage the sun has caused on my skin? I now have a lot of pigmentation and skin wrinkles. I am not that old to have wrinkly skin :'(
November 13, 2020 at 11:41 am #1543memyselfandiParticipantIt can soften the skin’s texture, increase collagen and elastin, even out color, and brighten the tone. So I think the answer is yes. RLT can reverse the damage the sun caused.

Just remember that Red light are normally used to speed up healing and stimulate collagen production, simultaneously shrinking enlarged pores and tightening the skin. While blue is used to kill the bacteria that causes acne, providing an effective treatment for blackheads and whiteheads

November 15, 2020 at 3:29 pm #1681Loveyou3000ParticipantThanks for the advice but I guess I will stick with red light first and see what others think if it can “reverse” the photodamage the sun has caused my skin.

November 17, 2020 at 10:12 pm #1809paupauu001ParticipantCan also blue light help with this kind of skin problem?
November 18, 2020 at 6:50 pm #1824mariedithParticipantcorrect me if I am wrong. photodamage is caused by the UV rays of the sun?
November 18, 2020 at 9:19 pm #1834regiregiregi03Participant@mariedith – Yes, when ultra violet light hits our skin unprotected it can cause photodamage in the deepest layer of the skin and it takes years before becoming visible.
November 18, 2020 at 10:41 pm #1845bpbaddieParticipantAw really?? I didn’t know that the light coming from the sun can have a result like this.
