Nikki. As far as I know both therapy does not have any bad side effects when it comes to healing your acne marks. Both blue and red light are beneficial. They just have a different effect to how you will use it. Red light has a slightly longer wavelength than blue light.

I am using it for 3 months now and I just joined this forum. There’s a lot I didn’t know. But to answer your question, there have been no bad side effects for me.

I use it when I wake up early but when I wake up late I use it when bed time. Helps me relax and have a great day.

For me, it’s most effective during night time. It helped not only my sleeping pattern but for my daughter too.

Will there be any side effect if I use both lights to treat some acne marks too?

I am using RubyLux’s K.S. Choi Corp Infrared Heat Lamp. It does have a 6 months warranty that’s why I bought this one. I am glad to hear that the bulbs there are durable too.

Yes Author you are right. especially if you are still new and unsure. It is best to consult someone who is an expert/practitioner. That’s what I did before ordering my red light. I asked my doctor if it is something that would be bad for my health. He said that it won’t have andno proven claims that there will be negative effect for my health but be sure to always maintain proper diet as red light therapy is something that should be done on a regular basis to achieve optimal result. Thank you for this advice, author.

    Rosiee,

thank you for your tips! I will do that. I currently have one as a lamp on my bedside, I am using it before going to sleep. Do you think it is alright to leave it on over night or it is a bad idea?

    Thank you for answering me.

This comments are all true. I am getting good night’s sleep and even afternoon nap better than before. after using NIR lights I never woke up grumpy. I always feel relaxed and calm. It does not just help with healing of wounds and scars it also has indirect effects for your muscles as it can penetrate deeper to your skin so it soothes your body’s tensions.

    Good day to you Rosiee!

I am no expert when it comes to science… but both have their pros and cons. Red light can protect you with potential harm of sunlight while improving your mood and calming yourself for your mental health. However, red light cannot provide you with Vitamin D for your skin, which the morning sun naturally stimulate…

You can always try and I suggest what me and my husband is doing… We use the red light during sunrise every morning and during sunset every evening.

I hope I answered your question.

Marianne, welcome to the red light therapy community. If you don’t mind me asking. What product are you started using? I am an old lady, but not to old to be called a granny. Me and my husband are sharing this therapy and planning to buy a second one… I just want you to know that it is great that you started taking care of yourself young (if you are, no offense.). It is good for skin’s elasticity and it gives glow to both me and my husband’s mood. Tell us about your journey…
