    Hi Fishguy,

You can upload a photo to a free image sharing site, like imgur.com. Then just post a link to the photo here.

RoHS is a European Union safety rule for electronic consumer products. It stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. If a product is RoHS compliant, it means the product follows the EU rules for limiting/being free of certain toxic substances. Compliant products are marked with a RoHS stamp or sticker. This is good news for safety, but it doesn’t tell us much about what kind of light you have.

Your light might be a red light therapy light, but that depends on the wavelength, intensity and specs of the light. Alternatively, you might only have an LED panel for plants. Do you have any info on the brand or where it was purchased?

Take care with the light- you don’t want to shine it into your eyes or stare into any sort of bright light. Especially if it causes discomfort or impairs your vision.

I did my research on this and there have been no knows side effects for using red light therapy. Which is such a relief! I love my lights and I have been getting great skin, lesser headaches and menstrual cramps. I am currently monitoring if my hair will grow healthier as well. It’s been so amazing!

Based on research – Red light therapy can also increase nitric oxide, the compound that heals the cells and increases the blood flow which may help to stimulate healing and strengthen your immune system to defend against disease; regulate your blood pressure and reduce inflammation. Basically, again as mentioned on the other comments, it’s not just for the immune system and should not be the only source as for how you make it stronger.

Totally agree with the previous comment. It does have benefits for the immune system but it does not mean that it’s what is for. I initially use mine for skin care but now, it also helps a lot with pain management. I used to have headaches often but not anymore!

At first, you would not notice it so much. I have never been sickly ever since but when I feel pain, like menstrual cramps for example. It really does help. For the immune system, I can say that it really does help but it should not be the sole thing you rely on when it comes to boosting your immune system.

I don’t really have a strict schedule, to be honest. red light therapy for me works anytime of the day. It hasn’t ever interfered with my sleep.

I have been using red light as my nightlight and so far, so good. I feel like I have been sleeping well every night. It’s been amazing. Aside from the fact that I have also been getting clearer skin. The benefits of red light therapy just goes on and on and I love it. I am planning on getting more bulbs from rubylux.com for our other room. I currently have small all red bulbs and thinking of getting the RubyLux NIR-A Near Infrared Bulb. ♥

I have read that red light permits the body to act as it would in a dark room, hence, red light does not drive the circadian rhythm of the body off balance. I have RubyLux All Red LED bulb and so far, I can say that I have been getting better sleep.

I am just about to start infared light therapy. Do I have to stick to a schedule for it to be effective?

I hope this thread is still active. I really hope I can share my journey when it comes to using red light therapy. I had terrible acne back then and I want my acne scars to be gone. It’s embarrasing.

This means I have a lot more life to sap from the bulbs. Great!

Indirectly, I think near-infrared light can help people recover/ reduce the effect of infection since stronger immunity is also a product of infrared light therapy. One of the core reasons why the older populations are more prone to serious/critical states when infected is due to low immunity.

    It sure does, indirectly.
