@littlered You may want to try green light therapy for headaches. There has been at least one study on green light and pain. Evidently, you just need to see the green light in your field of vision for pain relief effects.

However, if you have migraines and they are light-sensitive, you should not use bright lights as they could make your migraine worse. I know not all migraine sufferers have migraines triggered by light or sensitive to light, so it’s really down to the individual.

    Hello Rosiee,

Light therapy for bipolar disorders is a useful tool. It’s clearly more than a placebo. Dawn simulators are the first step (much easier to use, cheaper, no risk). Unless depression is severe, where you might go straight to using a light box. Read the safety section and watch out for worsening of mood.

    Here’s an article about it

if the primary (or initial) reason is to lower pain to allow for rest, using the light before bed may be great. And, if combined with pulsing frequencies that calm the nervous system – the LLLT can aid in better sleep.

The Red or near Infrared Light Therapy helps to lower pain, increase circulation and stimulate cellular respiration and repair. By pulsing the light at specific pulse rates (frequencies) we can either Activate or Sedate the nervous system at the same time

Women of all ages who gain weight get cellulite as well. cellulite removal can be tough, women have been exercising for quite a while to remove cellulite however they have not been successful in removing the cellulite completely. However, women who exercise and get red light therapy done have seen notable differences.

So this means that it won’t affect my daily dose even if I do my RLT daily too. Thank you all so much for your answers.

I read about that too! The testosterone level increases too depending on which part of the body the red light/near infrared light will be focused on.

Hello Marianne, those are RubyLux. I was using a different brand before and did not work perfectly for me. I will try that one. Thank you for giving recommendation

NIR and RLT has a lot of use not just for skin care, how ever if you are using just the “bulb” as a skin care, I suggest you upgrade to something more suitable for your face. Like this one on the link

I guess the question is between red light and NIR light and how to they differ. Not about blue or red light.

You don’t need goggles. Some people do prefer them, though. It depends on your sensitivity to light and your personal preference!

Here’s a good read for why you do not need those extra goggles.

Please let me know how it turns out for you. Can you tell me who recommend for you to use red light for your depression? If you do not mind at all though.

You should know your body and skin type and check if light therapy is good and suitable for your type. Some lights if not used properly and with care might leave a red mark or burn you.
